Description of Problem

A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in XenServer’s XenAPI HTTP interfaces. This could potentially be used to execute a client-side script in the browser of a user.

The vulnerability affects the following versions of Citrix XenServer:

l Citrix XenServer Dell Edition (Express and Enterprise) version 4.1.0

l HP integrated Citrix XenServer (Select and Enterprise) version 4.1.0

Customer using XenServer versions up to and including 4.0 are not affected by this vulnerability.

What Customers Should Do

A hotfix has been prepared to address this issue in all versions of the 4.1.0 product: XenServer-4.1.0-hotfix2 (2008-02).

Citrix recommends that all affected customers install this hotfix, which can be downloaded by issuing a “Check for Updates” request from the XenCenter GUI.
